George W. Vanderbilt’s pursuit of lifelong learning inspired the creation of The Biltmore® Center for Professional Development. His quest for knowledge and excellence is still woven into everything we do today. Mr. Vanderbilt chose the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains as the setting for his grand home. He desired this oasis in particular as a way to find clarity outside of our busy world.

Biltmore offered an opportunity to address problems in new and creative ways, without distraction. We still believe that this “oasis mentality” not only provides rest, but an outlet to approach challenges from a different angle. In obtaining this approval, the Biltmore® Center for Professional Development has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard which is widely recognized as the Standard of good practice internationally. As a result of its Authorized Provider membership status, The Biltmore® Center for Professional Development is authorized to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard.
